Service and maintenance
At falcon fire we hydraulically pressure test our installations once completed in accordance to the new standard BS 9990:2006. Our client will be then issued with a test certificate and a completion certificate. If we are servicing we will also issue a test certificate and a remedial works sheet if we find anything wrong with the system.
Dry Rising Mains
Inlets, landing valves, drain valves, door hinges and locking arrangements to the Inlet and landing valve cabinets should be inspected every 6 months, pressure tested once a year. Special attention should be given to all valves, spindles glands and washers to ensure that they are in satisfactory condition, so that all equipment is ready for immediate use.
Wet Rising Mains
Maintenance of wet rising mains involves additional checks from those mentioned above.
- Check on the cleanliness of storage tanks
- Thorough check of the booster pumps and their associated mechanical and electrical equipment.
