Initial consideration as to the suitability or appropriateness of any proposed sprinkler system and the subsequent identi cation of the most economical design solution for your sprinkler protection requirements. This service is always possible and design improvements can be made or e ciency savings achieved, at most stages of a project, whether it be a mandatory (code driven requirement), or as a result of an insurance recommendation. Usually the earlier we are involved the greater the potential saving.
Full site surveys are performed for installations, alterations or enhancements to existing sprinkler in- stallations or for new build projects.
Concept, performance based and detailed design services are available including all aspects of any system in- cluding resilience, tankage, supply issues, coverage, adequacy (ie re size, hazard class etc.), room and contents, pipe routing, con gurations, speci cation, contracting, procurement and sourcing type issues etc.
Full review of sprinkler plans and hydraulic calculations for insurance approval or conformity to local standards. A review of the technical and economical issues are incorporated as standard.
Hydraulic Calculations: Hydraulic calculations ensure the system will provide adequate protection for the hazard. Full hydraulic calculations are performed using industry standard software, to ensure the most economical sprinkler sys- tems are designed for each particular type of system.
All designs are produced using industry standard CAD software.
We are therefore in a unique position to provide assistance and the genuine support needed to plan, develop, design and
manage these services to your speci c project needs.
All too often we see tender packages and speci cations which do not represent the work or scope involved. Generic spac- ing of sprinklers, pipe sizes shown but incorrect, pump and tanks incorrectly sized then a generic speci cation which cross references different standards.
At Falcon we have two FIRAS certi ed designers to cater for domestic and residential sprinkler systems. In addition the designers concerned have between then over 50 year’s experience in the re protection industry to allow Falcon Fire to o er services in respect of Hydrants, Dry Risers, Wet Risers and R102 Fire Suppression Systems.
Our designers will soon start undertaking the LPCB designer courses which will allow us to progress into commercial sprinklers. As a design represents between 5% and 10% of the value of these types of work, why pay for it twice?
At Falcon Fire we can o er our designers services at reasonable rates, followed by a project speci c speci cation.
If these few paragraphs have generated interest, please contact us for your next project, we are more than willing to pro- vide sample designs, pipe layouts, water supply data and supporting hydraulics.
We can work on an hourly, daily or xed price rate.
